iPad Column Stand

The iPad Column Stand is a stylish, freestanding aluminium display perfect for point of sale in a range of different settings from shops, office or event environments. iPad stands enable your customers to interact with your brand via applications, software demonstrations, your website and more.

This stand supports a continuous power supply since a power cable can be threaded through the bottom of the tablet holder and into the lockable enclosure.

It features a heavy duty steel base finished in silver with rubber foot pads and the unique design enables the iPad enclosure to tilt 90 degrees for screen sharing and the display also rotates 350 degrees so that landscape and portrait orientations are available.

Full functionality of the iPad is maintained since the enclosure aperture has cut-outs for the front facing camera, home button, charging dock and speakers.

For additional security, an optional cable and combination lock security cord are available which enables you to secure the whole iPad stand to a stationary point. The combination lock is an added security measure, these are an optional extra and are designed to protect the stand as a whole (not just the iPad). This works by fixing to the unit, then you lasso it around a fixed piece of furniture like a desk etc so that nobody can remove the whole stand. As it is a combination lock it doesn’t need keys.

How to lock the iPad home button

In iOS 6 and above, you can limit an iPad to one app by disabling the ‘home button’ access and restrict touch screen input on certain areas enabling the iPad to be left unattended. Only available on iPad 2 and above.

• Go to Settings
• Tap General
• Scroll down to Accessibility
• Scroll down to Guided Access
• Tap Guided Access
• Switch Guided Access to on and Set Passcode if not already set
• Go to an app with a scrolling picture, triple click on the Home Button and press
• Start in the top right-hand side of screen. Your screen is now locked
• To unlock - Triple click the home button, enter your passcode and in the top left-hand side click End

How to assemble the lock and cable - optional extra

1. Lasso security cord to appropriate position on display stand or alternatively lasso security cord to nearby stationary object to prevent removal of complete iPad display stand
2. Align and insert end of lock into security slot of LaunchPad base
3. Rotate key through 90 degrees to lock
