Your furry friends will replace the traditional ‘promo girls’ marketing method at exhibitions, and instead of scantily-clad young ladies, visitors will be greeted by dogs at exhibitor stands, and will be able to enjoy a friendly cuddle whilst chatting with brand ambassadors.
So, what’s actually required? Well, firstly, any breed of dog can apply for the role, which will pay £200 a day. We plan to have a ‘roster’ of ‘Promo pooches’ for every region across the UK, so our exhibitor partners can opt in to have them on their stand.
All pups will need to be older than 1 year old, well socialised, comfortable in busy environments and fully house trained. We also request that they are supervised by their owners at all times.
We will be launching the ‘promo pooch’ initiative in early 2020, however we will be recruiting dogs to trial our brand new service at a number of consumer and business exhibitions over the next 6 months.
We really hope to evolve this initiative into a dog adoption strategy by teaming up with a charity next year - we’ll keep you in the loop!
“Companies and brands are constantly trying to work out how to increase footfall to their stands, the traditional ‘promo girl’ method is outdated and rightly so, and other strategies like giveaways are pricey. Hopefully this is a great way for companies to attract visitors, for visitors to enjoy themselves more, and most importantly for dogs to get all the fuss they deserve!”
Two dogs have already signed up!. Harvey and Maple are pictured here

“It’s a known thing that pretty much everyone loves dogs. You just need to walk a dog down the street and acknowledge all of the doting smiles you get from people walking by to work that out! So we thought why not utilise the power dogs have over people at exhibitions?“Companies and brands are constantly trying to work out how to increase footfall to their stands, the traditional ‘promo girl’ method is outdated and rightly so, and other strategies like giveaways are pricey.
