National Wedding Show London review

They were not disappointed! This show is high impact and visually stunning, and exhibitors from all over the country attended, pulling out all the stops to make their stands as beautiful and eye-catching as possible. From the purposefully stripped-back and simple stands to the bespoke custom builds, all exhibitors had gone above and beyond to create a stand that showcased their products and services best.

The National Wedding Show London hosts over 300 suppliers, plus thousands of visitors. To keep all these visitors busy, the show had a large variety of activities running throughout the day. Ranging from the Planning Platform hosted by Hitched.co.uk to the catwalk shows provided by the official show sponsors, Lancôme. Making your way around the show, the beautiful voice of Lula Weddings singer, Lucy Beard, entices brides to be over to her simple, yet tasteful, stand. Choosing to use only a single bar table, bar stool and a small shelving unit in their stand, Lula Weddings ensured a constant flow of interest, showing that, with the right exhibitor, sometimes less really can be more. The music coming from the catwalk roars up on the other side of the room, alerting visitors to the start of the next Lancôme catwalk show. Catwalk times on the Sunday were spread out throughout the day, ensuring that all visitors had the chance to catch a viewing. Each show showcased dresses and suits from designers such as Allure Bridals, Ben Sherman, Riki Dalal and Moss Bros, a real buzz was created amongst the brides to be.

After watching these shows, prospective brides are left itching to try some dresses on themselves. With a plethora of stands inviting visitors to try on their dresses, the most eye-catching stand, in our opinion, was certainly Rasha Kashou Couture, who had created a makeshift dress shop in their stand build. The stand created a shop front with the use of a large white counter, acting as a cashier’s desk. Around the corner of the stand, mannequins in a row displayed beautiful dresses, leading to a dressing room area. This exhibitor had a small room built into the stand to create a private changing area, with the rest of the bridal party sitting in a sofa area nearby. NWS also offers a ticket upgrade to VIP, which gives guests special access to the Luxury Wedding Fair, reserved catwalk seats and most exciting of all, the Secret Garden. On entering the garden, the guests are greeted with complimentary bottle of Twisted Halo, and receive their goody bags! The National Wedding Show puts on an excellent wedding fare, creating a fantastic day out for brides-to-be and exhibitors alike. Competition to attract customers is hot, and exhibitors really do think hard about their stands and how best to showcase their products or services.
