First opened in 1861, The Royal Agricultural Hall (known as the Business Design Centre from 1986) is a large, beautiful Grade II listed building located just 10 minutes from Kings Cross. When opened, it was one of the largest exhibition halls in the world, although other venues are now larger, the hall still covers 600m2 of exhibition space and hosted The Royal Smithfield Show yearly since its opening in 1861 until 1949 and was the first host of the Crufts Dog Show.

During the second world war, the hall was commandeered by the Government as the Parcel Depot and the hall remained unused and empty until 1986 when The Business Design Centre was born: now hosting over 300 events and exhibitions a year including London Art Fair, the largest contemporary art fair in the United Kingdom, returning annually.
